We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Besides the T-dude in middle, I love your trees and bushes. Great pen shading/bark texture there.
Why is it so good, well...
I was amazed to see you use colored pen to create bark on the tree. I am still so much stuck to my black and white graphic pens that it really was surprised to see color in use. I love the way you've given air between pen strokes, just like in real bark: intense texture at one place and then smooth surface before next texture.
Besides realism (well duh, in style) it gives more space for eye. I feel threatened when whole picture is filled with pen strokes. I think that space in pictures acts like pauses in music. There should be both to make a great piece and you've done just that.
